Holocaust

In Washington D.C. there are many frantic memorials and sights to see. Among those emotional things are the Vietnam Memorial, the World War II memorial, and the Arlington matter Cemetery. Those things are all emotional on a guinea pig level, but I think the one thing in Washington D.C. that all people, no matter where a individual is from, truly feels an emotional connection to is the Holocaust Museum. Sure, this may on the button be my opinion, but during our trip to Washington D.C. and experiencing those emotions during that walk by dint of the museum, I do not know any mankind being that would not be emotional. While going by means of the museum I just tried to put myself in the home of the Holocaust victims, but as I went on through I found it harder and harder to relate. The things that were done to the victims, in my mind, are unimaginable. overture back from D.C. and listening to the speaker Edith Levy speak more or less her experiences make the unimaginable things in my mind so lots clearer.
Upon entering the Holocaust Museum I was given a flip of a person from the Holocaust. The passport detailed that persons personal experience with the Holocaust. The passport I received belonged to a person named Olga Lengyel, who was the only person who survived from her family in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.

afterwards receiving the passport, I continued to the first portion of the exhibition, which displayed all of the propaganda utilise during the time of the Holocaust to initiate people into supporting Adolf Hitler. It was ignominious to see some of the advertisements and cruel drawings that were used during this time to debate the people against Jews and other people who were considered outcasts. That portion of the exhibition was actually just the tip of the iceberg of shocking things I go through while walking through. The atrocities that occurred during that time period really made me emotional.
