Essay master statue

When required to write an essay master statue, one could decide to write about Degas Sculpture which basically represents the outside the 19th century French sculpture that was done by Edgar Degas. Degas was never interested in creating public monuments and he also, except one, never displayed his sculptures publicly.

The only sculpture that this artist displayed to the public was the “ little 14-year-old dancer which was shown during the sixth impressionist exhibition that was help in Paris in 1881 and this is because the art had something to do with impressionism. Wax was the modeling matter used for the sculpture and this was used together with real stockings, bodice, tulle, skirt and horsehair.

The sculpture was very popular not only because the artist used unorthodox materials to make it but also because the realism that it displayed which some critics termed as brutish. The rest of the statue remained a private medium, in which the artist, limited himself to a small variety of subjects and explored the problems that were to him very fascinating.

The human figures that he generated often repeated on the same subject and each of the figures displayed subtle variations in terms of their composition and in the dynamics of muscular tensions or body movements.

A good number of his works of art, the artist seemed to have found a ready inspiration source in the Paris Opera in the form of the ballet dancers who used to perform there. The other sources of inspiration for the
