Research proposal

Is a research proposal in any way different from or similar to essays? Well, we can read a lot of similarities and differences between these two genres of writing in custom essays but the underlying fact is that both of them are types of writing. However, research proposal tends to differ so much from the ordinary essays that we write on day to day basis. A research proposal is more structured than the essays which are of very amorphous structures. What we mean by the amorphous structures of essays is that essays tend not to take up any defined frame of structure and therefore tend to take any format. There is not any defined structure within which ideas should be arranged which happens to be the case with a research proposal. In a research proposal, they specify that there must be an abstract before the introduction which is followed by subsequent parts.

These parts have of a research proposal has specific information destined for each of them and one cannot for instance, state the problem in the introduction specifically, because this information is destined for the ‘problem statement’ section. This is not the case with essays. Essays do not have definite information fro definite sections and in fact, some of the sections must not necessarily occur in essays.

An essay could for instance just have the body alone and omit the introduction and conclusion. An essay must not have all the three parts-introduction, body and conclusion. Research proposal on the other hand must have all its sections in their logical occurrence/arrangement. Without this, it’s not a research proposal. An essay is different on this.
