I. What is a Worldview?
The ideological groundwork by which we comprehend our existence, we come
to understand our life and the world surround us. It is a supposititious blueprint
into which we purposely or accidentally place or fit everything we affirm and by
which we sketch and examine reality. Philippians 2:5, tells to us exhibit Christs
humbleness of spirit and mind as followers who should extend our lives sacrificially,
exemplifying personal care and concern for others with no manner for self-regard.
II. 1. The Question of Origin---
Where did we come from? The Naturalist conclude matter has always existed and with
enough time and chance the end is what is seen around us today.
According to Naturalism, man
is a machine, a product of settled conditioning. Pantheists claim that deity and the universe
are one and the same, although generally god is not personal but impersonal god. That is, god is
not a personal benevolent Creator who cares for His understructure and answers prayers, etc. Theism,
the Christian worldview includes an infinite personal God, Creator of the sphere of influence and the earth.
God is both transcendent over the universe, meaning he exists apart from it (Genesis 1:1) and
emanates in it meaning he was involved in it (Genesis 1:2). He revealed himself in creation.
The Psalmist, David, declares that God is his Creator(Psalm 139:13-14) proclaiming he was
fearfully and wonderfully made.
