Without the wife knowing this about Lennie, she let him touch her soft hair. After a couple of seconds she asked him to let go, and he wouldnt. She started to scream, and he put his hand over her lecture and strangled her to death. He didnt mean no disability but he killed her.
Once Lennie realized she was dead, he ran to a place far away in the woods.
